Community Connection

Community doesn’t end after the service. We will greet one another, pray together, and enjoy a cup of coffee out in the foyer. Throughout the week, you can experience deeper connections through our Bible Studies and Community Groups.

FAQs

Questions?

We’re happy to answer any questions you have. Contact us below and we’ll be in touch soon.

What should I wear to church?

Come just as you are. Some people dress up, others come in jeans and sneakers. What matters most isn’t what you wear—it’s that you’re here.

Where do I park?

Parking is available in our main lot right by the church. If it’s full, we also have additional parking across the street at Lake Oswego High School. When you arrive our greeters will happily point you in the right direction.

What about my kids?

Your kids are important to us. River West Kids is a safe, joyful place where newborns through 5th graders can learn about Jesus in ways that connect with them. Our team will help you check them in, answer your questions, and make sure they feel at home.

How long is the service?

Our 9am, 11am, and 5pm services last about 75 minutes. We sing together, hear teaching from the Bible that connects to real life, and create space to be with God and others in community.

Do I need to believe in Jesus to come?

No. Whether you’re curious, skeptical, or seeking, you are welcome here. We believe church should be a safe place to bring your questions and explore who Jesus is. If you have any questions and would like to meet with a pastor please don’t hesitate to reach out. (info@riverwest.org)

What’s the music like?

Our worship is heartfelt and Christ-centered. We love the richness of ancient hymns and the freshness of contemporary worship songs. Some moments are upbeat and celebratory, others are quiet and reflective. More than a style, our goal is to create space for people to encounter the presence of God together.

Is River West affiliated with a denomination?

No, River West is a nondenominational evangelical church. Our identity isn’t tied to a particular religious tradition—it’s rooted in the good news of Jesus’ life, death, resurrection, and kingdom. The Gospel is at the center of everything we teach, celebrate, and practice as community. You can read more about what we believe in our Statement of Faith.
