In describing the importance of men serving others, putting others ahead of themselves and not acting selfishly, Pedro Arrupe, a Jesuit priest, coined the phrase: Men for Others.
I love the simplicity and power of these three words. It’s an excellent summary of the vision behind River West Men’s Ministry where we are:
Building men who reflect Christ-like love and service in all their many roles.
Men, you play many roles—husband, father, friend, neighbor, employee, student, etc. The goal is to love and serve like Christ in all your many roles. As men at River West, we are encouraging, equipping, challenging and building one another up to do just that.
“Men for others” was the theme of our last breakfast. If you missed it, I encourage you to watch me share this vision for our men by clicking HERE.
This quote from John Newton has been on my mind a lot lately:
“Our work is great. Our time is short. The consequences of our labors are infinite.”
Men, we need one another if we are going to make the most of the roles we play. Click HERE to learn how to connect with other River West Men.
