River West Church is home to a thriving community of people who are becoming more like Jesus. We desire to live out the Gospel in a way that reflects God’s love in our city, community, and the world.
Each Sunday, we gather as one family to worship, explore God’s Word, and come to the communion table to celebrate Christ’s death and resurrection. But church doesn’t end on Sunday.
Throughout the week, we experience the Gospel as we grow our faith, serve others, and build meaningful relationships. Everything we do is in response to the incredible love and grace we’ve received through Jesus.

Mission Trip to India 2026
Mission Trip
We are bringing a team to a wonderful Christian, English speaking orphanage in rural Northern India. During the last 2 weeks of February, we will have the opportunity to meet, connect to, love, and serve 40 young people and a couple of dozen leaders of a Hindi community.
Lead a Group
River West Community groups are sermon-based home groups that meet regularly to grow in Christian faith and practice, by doing life together. Since Community Groups are such a vital piece of our vision to “build a community of Christ for the world”, we are always looking for more leaders to facilitate groups!
River West Kids
The amazing folks who give their time and talents to serve God’s little ones. For more information, contact River West Kids Director, Kathleen Self.
Student Ministry
Adult leaders who want to love and serve teens. This happens as they build relationships with students while sitting at Starbucks, rafting the Deschutes, snowboarding at Mt. Hood, hanging out on a houseboat, or leading a Bible study!
Parking Team
Help us create a warm welcome from the moment people arrive! Our Parking Team serves by guiding, and caring for guests as they arrive at River West each Sunday morning.
Women's Service Team
A group of women dedicated to serving other women at River West. This team is divided into smaller teams, including: Care Team, Childcare Team, Decor Team, Food + Coffee Team, Hospitality Team, AV/Sound Team, and Prayer Team.
Care
This team supports members of our church family in tangible, practical ways. Here’s how you can serve with, or be served by our Care Team: Preparing/Delivering Meals, Preparing/Delivering Flowers, Preparing/Delivering Notecards, Work Crew, and fall leaf clean up team (Leaf Angels).
Hospitality
The Hospitality Team is devoted to making everyone who steps in our church feel welcomed and at home! There are many ways you can serve on the Hospitality team, including the following: Greeting, Coffee, Serving Communion, and Usher.
Safety Team
This team is trained to respond quickly and compassionately to emergencies and children’s safety issues.
Visual Techs
The computer-savvy team responsible for the words and images that appear on the screens.
