Support Safe and Stable Housing with Catalyst NW

Catalyst NW brings communities together to provide free, essential home repairs for low-income families across the Portland metro area. Many of these homes belong to elderly or disabled individuals who cannot afford or manage repairs, leaving them in unsafe conditions. Through restoration, Catalyst NW helps create peace of mind, stability, and a sense of belonging for our neighbors in need.

PROJECT:

Ms. Wilson is an 80-year-old widow who lives with her 58-year-old disabled daughter. They are working hard to maintain the home her father built in 1953.

In July 2024, Catalyst replaced the roof on the Wilson home. Now that the house is watertight, we’re returning to repair and replace ceilings that were damaged by previous leaks, causing the drywall to crack or fall.

This three-day project will focus on repairs in three bedrooms, the bathroom, and the living room. Once the drywall is repaired or replaced, we’ll finish the surfaces with beadboard to match the rest of the home.

We’d love to have you join us as we serve the Wilson family and help make their home safe and comfortable once again. SIGN UP HERE to volunteer

Please note: Children must be at least five years old to participate.
