As God leads more and more people to worship at River West, we recognize many of you arrive to a full parking lot. So far, the Lake Oswego School District (LOSD) has generously offered us access to overflow parking at Lake Oswego Junior High (LOJH). However, starting Sunday, June 23, we will lose access to parking at LOJH as contractors begin the two year process of reconstructing the Junior High. To ensure everyone understands upcoming parking developments, here are answers to frequently asked questions:
When will we lose access to overflow parking at the Junior High?
Beginning Sunday, June 23, we will no longer have overflow parking at LOJH. This is a week later than originally planned.
Where can we park if the main parking lot is full on Sunday?
Overflow parking is available at Uplands Elementary School (2055 Wembley Park Rd, Lake Oswego, OR 97034). There is a footpath from Uplands to River West that takes about 6-8 minutes to walk.
In addition, you can find limited street parking on Wembley Park Road adjacent to River West. Please respect our neighbors and avoid blocking anyone’s driveway or mailbox.
If you have difficulty walking or other physical impairments, we encourage you to arrive early and park in our main parking lot.
Will we be able to exit the parking lot through the service road that runs up by LOJH?
Yes, most Sundays this service road will stay open, allowing you to exit and turn left on Country Club Road. If the service road is closed, please use the front driveway to exit our parking lot and turn right onto Country Club Road.
Will we have a shuttle service?
Not every Sunday. For now, our plan is to provide shuttle service for our 10am + 5pm all-church Family Services on June 30. With the launch of our 5pm service, we will see how much this helps alleviate parking congestion and adjust our plans accordingly.
How can I help?
