Sunday, June 11 | 6:30-8:30pm | Sanctuary
In the past two years, Portland has seen a 23% rise in homelessness and has been declared a state of emergency. What factors have given rise to this humanitarian crisis in our city? And how are we as followers of Jesus called to respond? On Sunday, June 11th, River West is partnering together with Cedar Mill Bible Church to host a forum to lean into these questions. Participants will not only walk away better informed but also be challenged to engage in strategic efforts that are successfully helping transition homeless individuals off the street into long-term housing, recovery, and employment programs.
Presenters will include Doug Marshall (Founder, Hope for The Homeless Foundation), Lance Orton (Exec Dir, City Teams), Rhona Mahl (Exec Dir, Transitional Youth), along with Pastor Christopher (Mission Pastor, River West Church) and Pastor Ashley Bell from Cedar Mill Bible Church.
