Self-Care Backpack Drive for Sex Trafficking Survivors

Sex Trafficking not only impacts the lives of millions of vulnerable people globally, but exists right here in our own backyard in Portland. As heinous as this injustice is to imagine, the average age of individuals impacted by sex trafficking is 13.

In partnership with Safety Compass, River West is hoping to collect 100 self-care backpacks for survivors throughout the month of May. These backpacks will be filled with items that will help restore dignity to those who receive them and will be distributed by advocates and law enforcement throughout our city.

Backpacks can be dropped off at River West Church in the foyer during the month of May during any of the Sunday services. To see a list of items and assembly guidelines, follow the links below.
