Junior High

Students in 6th-8th grades.

The middle school years can be a significant time of learning how to make friends, engage in community, and all the while still wanting to be a kid. In our Junior High Ministry, we hope to create a space for students to come, play, and engage in a space where they feel seen, known, and loved. And in that space, they would find themselves encountering our God who sees, knows, and loves them.

Weekly

• JH Group | Sundays | 11am-12:30pm | Student Ministry Room
  This year we are studying the Book of Acts! We are excited for this study and look forward to seeing the history of the first followers of Jesus and how the church began to grow! It’ll be a great study on the faith of the Early Church, the movement of the Holy Spirit, and the invitation for us as 21st century Christians to live in the rhythms and ways of Jesus today.
• JH MidWeek | Wednesdays | 6:30-8pm | Student Ministry Room
  Every Wednesday evening, our Junior High community gathers to play games, enjoy pizza, and go deeper in small group conversations. In those conversations, we’ll talk about our faith, what it means to be in a relationship with Jesus, and how that changes everything. We’d love for you to join this high-energy and fun-filled time!

JH Summer Camp

JH Summer Camp is an epic week filled with blob competitions, lakeside hangs, recreation challenges, and conversations about faith, the character of God, and the wonder of the Gospel. This is a week we all look forward to in JH and would love for you to join!

High School

Students in 9th-12th grades.

Community is a necessity. We desire our High School Ministry to be a place that reflects the larger church body. What you can expect is a group of students and leaders who love the Lord and are seeking Him together. This group reflects the hospitable nature of Jesus as they warmly welcome others in. We hope to grow in our worship and affection for Christ and His Word, and in turn deepen our relationships with each other.

• HS Group | Sundays | 5-6:25pm | Student Ministry Room
  High School Group provides students a place to learn about Jesus, worship, and engage with other students in faith conversation! We start by worshiping in the sanctuary and then head into the Student Ministry Room for a time of teaching and small group discussion. This year we are studying the Book of Acts! It’ll be a great study on the faith of the Early Church, the movement of the Holy Spirit, and the invitation for us as 21st-century Christians to live in the rhythms and ways of Jesus today.
• HS Hangs | Tuesdays | 7-9pm | River West Church
  Tuesday Night Hangs provide a time for High School students to connect, play, and go deeper in conversation with each other. This year, we’ll be going through different topics such as what it means to practice the rhythms of Jesus, Christian Sexuality, and the key pillars of our faith as Christians. This has been a highlight for our students to cultivate deeper relationships with each other and have a greater understanding of our faith alongside one another.

Summer Internship Program

This summer we are launching our Summer Internship Program. This is a ministry opportunity for college students who love junior high + high school students, the local church, and want to learn more about vocational ministry. Interns will be on a team responsible for executing the programming, teaching, and discipleship culture of Student Ministry over the summer. While interns will overlap in the different components of Student Ministry, each intern will have a specific ministry focus. The three focuses are College Ministry, High School Ministry, and Junior High Ministry.
