25-MINUTE CHALLENGE

Day 21

April 20, 2020

Think about how much ground we have covered in just two weeks of time in the Old Testament! I hope that you are beginning to see these books with fresh eyes — particularly how they all fit together. This week we turn our attention to some of the most significant writings in the Old Testament!

PRAY

Each week thus far there has been a theme of prayer. First it was gratitude and then it was adoration. Can we try something hard this week? My challenge for you: practice confession. Each day, pray Psalm 139:23-24 and then listen: “Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!” (Maybe ask for humility beforehand if you’re like me!)

Reading

1 Samuel 3, 16

REFLECTION QUESTIONS

  1. What did you read/learn about God that is worthy of adoration?
  2. Did today’s section bring up anything that you feel the need to confess?
  3. Is there anything in here that you want to give thanks for?
  4. In light of all this, is there anything you want to ask God for?

Day 24

April 23, 2020

Isaiah is one of the most amazing books in the Bible — albeit a difficult one to read and understand at times! Some call it the Old Testament’s gospel because there is so much Jesus-talk within its pages. While Kings was combined into one video, Isaiah was split into two — so you’ll tackle the first half today.
